Communications/Outreach Intern - Office of the Director of Administration (UNOG)

About the role

The United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) is looking for a Communications/Outreach Intern within the Office of the Director of Administration. The internship supports the internal communications strategy, focusing on facilities management and security-related topics. It lasts up to 6 months, starting on 15 January 2027, with the exact start date flexible depending on the candidate's availability and visa arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Design and update newsletters and other internal communications materials
• Create and maintain content for digital information screens across the Palais des Nations
• Update and improve content on the UN Geneva intranet (iSeek)
• Support the design, development and publication of the UNOG Annual Report
• Contribute to other internal communications initiatives and campaigns as required

Required profile

• Student in the final year of a first university degree (Bachelor or equivalent), or enrolled in or having completed a Master's or PhD programme
• Enrolled in or having completed a graduate programme; the field of study should be related to Communications, Public Relations, Business or International Relations
• Fluency in English and French, the working languages of the UN Secretariat; knowledge of another UN official language is an asset
• Applicants must cover their own travel, visa, accommodation and living costs
