Compliance Lead – Blockchain Surveillance

About the role

SCRYPT is seeking a Compliance Lead specialized in blockchain surveillance to own and operate transaction monitoring, blockchain analytics, and Chainalysis tooling across its regulated activities. This dedicated role reports to the Head of Compliance and focuses on end‑to‑end management of on‑chain compliance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and tune Chainalysis KYT and Reactor, manage alert workflows and rule sets.
• Run transaction monitoring for trading, custody, and asset‑management businesses.
• Lead blockchain investigations, including wallet attribution, cluster analysis, and source‑of‑funds tracing.
• Operate Travel Rule compliance, handling VASP identification and PII data exchange.
• Execute sanctions and PEP screening (OFAC, SECO, UN, EU) on on‑chain and off‑chain data.
• Liaise with FINMA, VQF, and MROS for suspicious activity reporting.
• Partner with engineering to integrate compliance tooling into SCRYPT’s operations platform.
• Develop standards and documentation for blockchain surveillance across Swiss and Malta entities.

Required profile

• 4–8 years of experience in blockchain compliance, transaction monitoring, or financial‑crime investigation.
• Hands‑on experience operating Chainalysis (KYT and/or Reactor) – mandatory.
• Strong understanding of on‑chain forensics, wallet clustering, mixers, bridges, DEX flows and cross‑chain analysis.
• Working knowledge of Swiss AML regulations, Travel Rule guidelines, and international sanctions frameworks.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
