Compliance Verification Engineer - Structures & Stress (m/f/d)

About the role

A family-owned Swiss company founded 70 years ago and active in air rescue for international customers is looking for a Compliance Verification Engineer (structures and stress). The role covers certification projects for helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and run certification projects for HEMS equipment
• Classify minor and major changes and approve minor changes
• Prepare and approve certification plans and compliance demonstration documents such as qualification test reports and stress reports
• Communicate with suppliers and authorities
• Witness certification tests
• Advise the design department on airworthiness and take part in design reviews
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the design organisation

Required profile

• Degree in mechanical engineering (ETH/FH/TS), aviation (FH) or equivalent
• Several years of professional experience in aviation product certification, preferably as a CVE
• Profound knowledge of EASA Part 21 and certification specifications
• Good spoken and written English and German
