Construction Consultant – Permit Management

About the role

McDonald’s Switzerland is seeking a Construction Consultant to lead the permitting process for new store openings and major renovation projects. Based in Crissier, you will ensure all building permits are obtained in line with global standards and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit building permit applications and track approvals.
• Collaborate with architects, external partners, and internal stakeholders to secure necessary permits.
• Oversee the creation of architectural plans, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Monitor construction progress against approved permits and specifications.
• Manage project budgets, validate invoices from architects and consultants.
• Serve as the primary contact for architects, site managers, and real‑estate teams.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to guarantee project success.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Architecture (or a Bachelor’s in Architecture/Interior Architecture).
• 3–5 years of experience in construction project management, engineering, or architecture.
• Native German speaker with strong English and/or French proficiency.
• Proven ability to manage projects independently from initiation to completion.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• Agile, flexible, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
