Construction HSE Supervisor

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Project HSE Supervisor to strengthen its site‑level PJM team. The role supports a major international account across sites in Zurich, Basel and Luzern and is hands‑on, site‑based, ideal for candidates with a construction background and experience in regulated manufacturing environments. Fluency in German and English is required.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the HSE subject‑matter expert for site‑based projects, promoting visible leadership and a strong safety culture.
• Provide practical, operational HSE support to live construction activities, working closely with project managers, contractors and stakeholders.
• Prepare, review and support delivery of key HSE documentation such as risk assessments, RAMS/method statements, contractor plans and safe systems of work.
• Ensure all HSE activities comply with local legislation, client requirements, international standards and company policies.
• Support contractor pre‑qualification, onboarding, planning and ongoing performance monitoring from an HSE perspective.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and reviews, and lead incident, near‑miss reporting and investigations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, OHS, Engineering or a related field.
• Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in pharmaceutical or highly regulated environments.
• Fluent in German and English with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Client‑focused approach and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
