Construction Manager

About the role

We are seeking an interim Construction Manager to join a high‑priority project for a leading international engineering and construction firm in the Basel area. The role starts as soon as possible and will initially run for six months, with the possibility of extension up to the full five‑year project duration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead hands‑on construction management directly on‑site, ensuring daily progress aligns with project plans.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, managing their activities and performance.
• Maintain strict quality control, monitor schedule adherence, and guarantee seamless execution of works.
• Collaborate closely with Project Management and Engineering teams to resolve issues and optimise processes.
• Maintain a visible presence in day‑to‑day site operations, fostering a safe and productive environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager, Site Manager or Bauleiter on industrial construction projects.
• Experience with building services (TGA) is advantageous; pharma/GMP exposure is a plus.
• Strong subcontractor coordination abilities and a pragmatic, hands‑on mindset.
• Fluent German (must) and working level English.
