Construction Project Director

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Project Director to lead large‑scale, high‑value building envelope projects across Europe. Based in Switzerland, you will hold full strategic and operational responsibility for delivering complex roofing, cladding and façade works while ensuring safety, quality and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to multidisciplinary construction teams, driving operational excellence and profitability.
• Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of high‑value projects, from planning and resource allocation to execution and handover.
• Develop detailed project programmes, critical paths, milestones and resource strategies for multiple European sites.
• Coordinate logistics, workforce planning, travel, permits and HSE compliance for international projects.
• Ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, safety regulations and contractual obligations.
• Lead client and stakeholder engagement, maintaining strong communication throughout project lifecycles.
• Monitor and mitigate commercial and operational risks, escalating issues as needed.
• Document site progress, reporting and governance to support senior‑level decision making.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of senior‑level experience in construction project management or leadership within roofing, cladding, façade or related building‑envelope sectors.
• Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Science or a comparable technical discipline.
• Proven track record of delivering medium to large‑scale projects across multiple sites or regions.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage project profitability.
