Contract Manager (Fixed Term)

About the role

Dematic, part of the KION Group, is looking for a Contracts Manager on a fixed-term basis of 18 months in Bussy-Saint-Georges. You will protect the business and drive commercial excellence across the project lifecycle, working with cross-functional teams across EMEA.

Key responsibilities

• Identify contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies in line with internal policies and processes.
• Partner with Project Management, Controlling and Project Procurement to safeguard Dematic's contractual position throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support the preparation of governance and approval documentation to ensure compliance and timely decisions.
• Monitor contractual obligations, including payment milestones, accounting requirements, guarantees, bonds and other commercial commitments.
• Lead and support contract settlement discussions and negotiations with customers, suppliers and other partners.
• Proactively identify opportunities, resolve contractual issues and minimise risk.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering or a related field, with a solid understanding of accounting and finance principles.
• Relevant experience in contract and claim management, contract analysis and drafting, and/or legal advisory roles, preferably in large-scale projects.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional knowledge of French, Italian, Spanish or German depending on the hiring location.
• Willingness to travel as required.
