Critical Facilities Engineer

About the role

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Critical Facilities Engineer to join its 24 × 7 Site Operations team. You will be responsible for maintaining the reliability, efficiency and continuity of mission‑critical data‑center infrastructure, working directly with customers and internal engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and respond to abnormal conditions across electrical, mechanical and building‑control systems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance using the CMMS platform.
• Ensure all maintenance tasks are planned, prepared, executed and documented to the highest quality standards.
• Maintain continuous service availability and drive energy‑efficiency initiatives.
• Utilise the Building Management System (BMS) and related monitoring tools to track system performance.
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers on repairs and upgrades of UPS, PDUs, diesel generators, ATS equipment and lighting systems.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with critical data‑center equipment such as UPS, PDUs, diesel generators and ATS.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical and mechanical systems, power distribution and building controls.
• Ability to work shift‑based, onsite schedules and interact professionally with customers.
• Commitment to first‑time‑right execution and high‑quality documentation.
