CSA Lead

About the role

The CSA Lead will coordinate civil work packages for Mercury’s construction projects in Zurich, overseeing subcontractor onboarding, safety, quality, scheduling and commercial aspects. The role works closely with contractors, project managers and the Mercury safety and QA teams to ensure delivery to client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage coordination of civil work packages, including subcontractor onboarding, EHS, QA/QC, schedule, design and handover.
• Oversee site safety in partnership with contractors, project manager and Mercury safety advisor, handling set‑up, management and close‑out of subcontractor files.
• Lead site QA activities together with contractors, project manager and QA/QC lead, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Maintain the project schedule in collaboration with contractors, site planner, project managers and consulting engineers/architects.
• Control commercial elements of the package – labour, material, plant, equipment, variations and valuations – with support from the project quantity surveyor.
• Support day‑to‑day site operations and liaise with key stakeholders such as client design team, main contractor, suppliers and sub‑contractors.
• Ensure works are installed according to specifications and the project QA plan, providing guidance on standards, codes and validation.
• Develop, implement and hand over construction work packs, translating design/IFC specifications into installation drawings with BIM personnel.

Required profile

• Proven experience in coordinating large‑scale civil construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of EHS, QA/QC processes and commercial management in construction.
• Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
