Customs Team Lead

About the role

Maersk Customs Services is seeking a motivated Customs Team Lead to manage a team of customs professionals and ensure smooth customs clearance for clients. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, driving compliance and efficiency across the customs process.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of customs specialists, allocating tasks and resources to meet client deadlines.
• Oversee the entire customs clearance process, ensuring compliance with customs, trade, safety and security regulations.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and guarantee timely clearance.
• Develop and implement process improvements to boost efficiency while maintaining high quality and compliance.
• Monitor KPIs, report performance, and foster a positive, inclusive team culture.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in logistics, customs or supply chain management (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a customs‑related role with leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, trade compliance and safety/security rules.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluency in English and German.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with customs clearance software.
