Data Center Technician – Entry Level

About the role
As a Data Center Technician you will learn Microsoft’s standard processes for installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing and decommissioning data‑center equipment. Working under experienced colleagues, you will gain exposure to the infrastructure that powers services such as Azure, Office 365, Bing and Xbox.
Key responsibilities
- Follow safety briefings, complete required safety and security training, and adhere to all safety procedures.
- Handle assigned tickets, meeting KPIs and SLAs while escalating issues when needed.
- Perform hardware installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacement and de‑commissioning of servers and related equipment.
- Maintain compliance with security and data‑management policies.
- Collaborate with team members, share information and contribute to a positive team environment.
Required profile
- Completed high school, GED, apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
- Strong client focus and accountability for service quality.
- Willingness to learn and follow guidance from senior technicians.
