Database Reliability Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Database Reliability Engineer to join our team responsible for the reliability and operational management of application environments. You will be the primary technical point of contact for database-related matters, collaborating with infrastructure, automation, development and architecture teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise the stability, performance and operational reliability of database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, MongoDB, CouchDB, Redis and Kafka.
• Investigate database incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Automate recurring operational tasks, including health checks, backup verification and monitoring.
• Enhance observability through monitoring solutions, alerting mechanisms and dashboards while supporting security hardening and compliance.

Required profile

• At least three years of experience in a technical or team leadership role.
• Minimum two years operating PostgreSQL, MariaDB or SQL Server in large‑scale production environments.
• One year of experience in infrastructure automation and process improvement.
• Professional software engineering experience using an object‑oriented programming language.
