Design Engineer / Konstrukteur*in

About the role

Dufour Aerospace is developing efficient, sustainable tilt‑wing aircraft that combine vertical take‑off and landing capabilities with the speed and economy of fixed‑wing flight. As a Design Engineer you will contribute to the creation of innovative mechanical solutions for these next‑generation aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Create 3D models using Onshape.
• Produce production‑ready, standard‑compliant drawings.
• Develop concepts, feasibility studies and simple functional prototypes (e.g., via 3D printing).
• Collaborate with stress analysis and production teams to ensure designs meet all requirements.
• Support optimisation of existing designs, applying Design for Manufacturing and Design for Cost principles.

Required profile

• Completed training as a designer, mechanical engineer or a related field.
• Several years of experience with 3D CAD tools.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design and development.
• Passion for aviation, teamwork, structured work approach and solid technical understanding.
• Good written and spoken German and English.
• Knowledge of fiber‑composite materials is a plus.
