Design Mechanical Engineer

About the role

EH Group Engineering is developing compact, high‑power‑density fuel cells for heavy‑duty mobility and large‑scale stationary power. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to design components and assemblies that enable our next‑generation fuel‑cell systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical components, modules and assemblies for fuel‑cell stacks and systems.
• Create 3D models, detailed drawings and apply GD&T tolerancing.
• Apply design‑for‑manufacture (DFM) and design‑for‑assembly (DFA) principles.
• Support prototyping, build and validation of designs.
• Collaborate with suppliers on component manufacturing and tooling.
• Maintain BOMs, drawings and engineering changes in PLM.
• Work closely with simulation, test, electrical and process engineering teams.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
• 3–5 years of mechanical design experience in an engineering‑hardware environment.
• Fluent spoken and written English and French; German is a plus.
• Team player able to work autonomously with internal and external experts.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools, especially SolidWorks.
• In‑depth understanding of GD&T.
• Knowledge of DFM and DFA principles.
• Familiarity with common manufacturing processes.
• Experience with sealing, thermofluidic, thermal or structural design (a plus).
