Desktop Support Technician (On-demand Freelance)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Desktop Support Technician to work on a B2B freelance basis, providing on‑demand assistance to end‑users in Rolle, Switzerland. The role combines remote and on‑site support, handling a full range of desktop and laptop issues for a corporate environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end‑to‑end technical support for desktop and laptop devices, troubleshooting hardware, software and connectivity problems.
• Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities and break/fix tasks.
• Manage the full device lifecycle: configuration, patching, OS imaging and vendor hardware replacements.
• Use SCCM, Intune and ServiceNow for asset tracking, ticket resolution and remote assistance.
• Install, update and patch approved software in line with IT policies.
• Provide remote and deskside support for Microsoft Office, Outlook, VPN clients and other enterprise applications.
• Ensure security compliance, antivirus monitoring and desktop policy enforcement.
• Offer VIP support and act as primary onsite contact during critical escalations.
• Support printers, scanners and other peripherals, including routine maintenance.
• Assist with Active Directory user account tasks and smart‑hands support.
• Document incidents, hardware inventory and technical guides.

Required profile

• Fluent in English (C1) and French (C1).
• Freelance/B2B availability on an on‑demand basis.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work independently.
