DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Infrastructure (Full‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud & Infrastructure team in Chiasso. You will design, automate and operate CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure platforms that support critical business systems for a leading Swiss payments provider. The role offers the chance to modernise software delivery, improve deployment reliability and enable fast, secure releases across on‑premises and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI) in close collaboration with development teams.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using IaC tools such as Ansible and Packer.
• Deploy, operate and evolve containerised workloads on Kubernetes, driving migration from VMs to containers.
• Improve observability and monitoring (e.g., New Relic) and participate in incident handling and on‑call support.
• Own security hardening, patch management and vulnerability remediation across infrastructure and delivery pipelines.
• Define and maintain infrastructure standards, best practices and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 4 years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, platform or infrastructure engineering.
• Solid experience designing, implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins or similar).
• Proven experience running containerised workloads on Kubernetes and administering Linux‑based environments.
• Strong experience with Ansible; familiarity with Terraform, Packer or similar tools.
• Experience operating delivery platforms in production, including troubleshooting, incident handling and on‑call support.
