Director, Advocacy and Policy

About the role

St. Jude Global is seeking a senior leader to shape and drive its global advocacy and policy agenda. Reporting to the Director of Global Engagement Strategies, the Director will champion the integration of childhood cancer and catastrophic disease priorities into the international public‑health landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive advocacy, policy and engagement strategy aligned with St. Jude Global’s mission.
• Represent the organization at global health forums, working groups, and with multilateral agencies such as WHO, UNICEF, UN bodies, and NGOs.
• Build and nurture partnerships with governments, foundations, academic institutions, private sector, and people with lived experience.
• Produce strategic documents, policy briefs, position statements and advocacy materials.
• Monitor global health policy trends, identify opportunities for thought leadership, and contribute to governance models for childhood cancer.
• Collaborate with regional hubs and cross‑functional teams to ensure policy alignment and impact measurement.
• Support the creation of metrics and a transparent CRM system to track advocacy outcomes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in advocacy, policy development, and stakeholder engagement within global health or related sectors.
• Proven ability to influence high‑level decision‑makers and work with multilateral organizations.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.
