Director Corporate Communications (m/f/d)

About the role

A senior position in corporate communications for oncology therapeutics, based in Basel-Landschaft. The role leads product and pipeline communications across the full product lifecycle, works with Policy and Government Affairs on EU healthcare policy, and builds corporate reputation across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product and pipeline communications for oncology therapeutics, covering pre-launch, launch and post-launch phases, medical congresses and data milestones
• Partner with Policy and Government Affairs teams to shape EU-level healthcare policy narratives and broaden patient access to treatments
• Elevate corporate reputation across Europe through storytelling, thought leadership, media relations and executive positioning and coaching
• Work with Patient Advocacy, Commercial, Medical, Market Access and local affiliate communications teams across European countries
• Draft and deliver media content, social posts, Q&As, toolkits and presentations, and manage external agencies without support staff

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years in corporate communications or PR within pharma or biotech, with European or international scope
• Broad Corporate Affairs background combining communications, public policy and patient advocacy
• Ideal mix of big pharma rigor and experience in smaller or mid-sized biotech settings
• Ability to carry out operational tasks such as content drafting and event logistics independently
• In-depth knowledge of the European pharmaceutical regulatory environment and EU healthcare policy
• Fluent English with strong writing, editing and executive presentation skills
• Master's degree in Communications, PR, Journalism or Business Administration (MBA) preferred
