Director, Global Document Control – Quality Systems

About the role

The Director, Global Document Control leads the worldwide document control function within Quality Systems, ensuring consistent and compliant management of quality documentation across the enterprise. This role supports regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and operational excellence for a leading medical‑device organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and govern the global document control function, establishing policies and procedures.
• Set and maintain global standards for quality documentation, driving harmonisation across all sites.
• Partner with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams to align document control processes with business needs.
• Ensure documentation practices meet regulatory requirements and support audit readiness.
• Oversee implementation of document control systems and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in document control or quality systems within a regulated industry.
• Deep understanding of regulatory requirements for medical‑device documentation.
• Strong ability to work in a global, matrixed environment and influence cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication and change‑management skills.
