Director Manufacturing Lead (80-100%)

About the role

Lead the manufacturing unit in Visp, Switzerland, overseeing the Payload‑Linker capacity expansion and ensuring safe, high‑quality production of medicines. This fully site‑based position requires close, real‑time collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of production managers, supervisors and specialists, handling qualification, development, coaching, hiring and performance management.
• Manage operational readiness within the CAPEX project and drive post‑OQ start‑up activities.
• Execute production campaigns while ensuring compliance with safety, GMP, quality and environmental standards.
• Control production costs, provide forecasts, contribute to budgeting and product cost calculations.
• Serve as operational specialist for production planning, technical assessments and feasibility requests.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s, PhD or equivalent) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Extensive leadership experience in chemical manufacturing within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong knowledge of GMP and EHS requirements.
• Fluency in English; German is an advantage.
