Director, Medical Strategy – Medical Affairs

About the role

Real Chemistry is seeking a Director of Medical Strategy to lead scientific and medical planning for its global health communications clients. The role sits at the intersection of medical expertise, strategic insight, and innovative technology, helping pharma and biotech partners shape impactful medical programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients and internal teams across one or more Global MedComms accounts, leveraging deep therapeutic knowledge and clinical connections.
• Define and shape strategy for new and complex business proposals in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Act as a trusted advisor, providing constructive challenge and strategic guidance to senior client stakeholders.
• Deliver strategic institutional advice to maximise the impact of medical programmes.
• Identify opportunities for AI interventions and guide internal AI implementation initiatives.
• Support business development by identifying new client opportunities and expanding existing relationships.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in pharmaceutical or biotech medical affairs, with a strong therapeutic area expertise.
• Proven ability to influence senior client decision‑makers and act as a strategic partner.
• Demonstrated track record of developing and executing medical communication strategies.
• Experience working on global, multi‑disciplinary teams.
