Director of Commercial Operations

About the role

The Director of Commercial Operations will lead franchise owners through every phase of commercial project bidding, training, and execution. This senior position shapes strategy, ensures accurate cost estimation, and drives best‑practice adoption via the Commercial Playbook.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and source commercial bid opportunities with owners.
• Guide owners through bid submission, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Assess bids for insurance implications and bonding requirements.
• Train owners on contract negotiations and full‑cycle project management.
• Support owners during implementation to resolve scope, labor, or financial challenges.
• Oversee Blueprint Analysts to produce precise material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor estimates.
• Deliver detailed cost estimates and clarify calculations as needed.
• Manage bid documentation to meet deadlines and maintain the Commercial Playbook.
• Collaborate with the Director of Field Operations to build and maintain vendor partnerships.
• Utilize commercial bidding tools such as WinBidPro, Bluebeam, and Construct Connect.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of relevant experience in commercial construction or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of insulation materials, techniques, and industry best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot in the field and make independent decisions.
• Capability to read, understand, and interpret contracts.
