Electrical / Automation Engineer

About the role

SSWISS GROUP AG, an international industrial group producing solar modules and components, is expanding its production capacity and is looking for an Electrical / Automation Engineer in Zug. The engineer supports the development, optimization and maintenance of automated manufacturing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimize electrical and automation systems for production lines
• Develop and modify PLC programs (Siemens, Beckhoff, Schneider or equivalent)
• Configure HMI/SCADA systems
• Troubleshoot electrical and automation faults
• Support commissioning of new equipment and production lines
• Develop preventive maintenance strategies for electrical and automation systems
• Create and maintain electrical schematics and technical documentation
• Ensure compliance with IEC standards and Swiss electrical regulations
• Collaborate with mechanical, process and quality engineering teams

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or manufacturing
• Experience with PLC programming and industrial networks
• Ability to read and create electrical schematics
• Knowledge of sensors, drives, servos and safety systems
• Analytical mindset and structured problem solving
• German and/or English proficiency
