Electrical Construction Manager

About the role

Mercury, the European leader in construction solutions, is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to lead the electrical systems package on a complex site in Zurich. You will coordinate construction activities, safety, quality and cost management while supporting a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the electrical systems package on‑site together with the Electrical Lead and Project Manager.
• Oversee all electrical construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, QA plans and safety standards.
• Control site safety, set up and close out the safety file, and drive a strong HSE culture.
• Coordinate the electrical design process with the Design Manager and manage OFCI equipment packages.
• Maintain the project schedule, cost control, material deliveries and subcontractor performance.
• Produce weekly internal and external progress and cost reports, and manage the snagging system.
• Support and coach the electrical team, prepare tender packages and keep a photographic diary of site progress.

Required profile

• 10‑15+ years of experience in the construction sector, with at least 5 years in project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Proven track record of delivering large‑scale installation projects and handling industrial relations.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and quality assurance processes.
