Electronics Engineer – Drone Hardware Development

About the role
Sunflower Labs is seeking a hands‑on Electronics Engineer to design, build and test electronics for next‑generation autonomous drones and base stations. You will work closely with hardware, mechanical and robotics teams to bring PCB assemblies from concept to production.
Key responsibilities
- Own development of smaller PCB assemblies and flex circuits, from schematic capture through layout, bring‑up and validation.
- Design circuits, select components, and maintain schematics, bills of materials and manufacturing files.
- Create cable drawings, connector specifications and prepare cable sets for prototyping.
- Bring up, measure and debug prototype boards, investigating faults and verifying performance against requirements.
- Develop test setups and procedures to validate designs and support production testing.
- Collaborate with firmware and mechanical engineers to integrate sensors, power supplies and communication interfaces.
- Improve designs for manufacturing, work with suppliers on component alternatives and manage controlled hardware changes.
Required profile
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience developing electronic hardware from circuit design to production support.
- Proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Hands‑on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, lab power supplies and soldering.
- Good written and spoken English and a collaborative working style.
Required skills
- Analog and digital circuit design, power supply design.
- CAN and I²C interface design.
- PCB layout, schematic capture (Altium Designer).
- Testing tools: oscilloscopes, multimeters, lab power supplies.
- Soldering and board bring‑up methodology.
