Energy Data Engineer & Developer

About the role

Join a fast‑growing team driving the energy transition through a digital platform that supports planning, tendering and implementation of renewable energy systems for real‑estate and industrial customers. You will analyse energy data, support AI‑based forecasting and deliver actionable insights to improve operational and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse production, consumption and storage data to identify optimisation opportunities.
• Develop AI‑based market analyses and contribute to price and energy forecasts.
• Perform trend, variance and gap analysis on asset, project and financial data.
• Validate data quality, run plausibility checks and continuously improve analytical outputs.
• Design, build and maintain a central data and reporting infrastructure in collaboration with IT.
• Create KPI reports, dashboards and visualisations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with management, operations, sales and country teams to support data‑driven decisions.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience building production data pipelines with real users.
• Proven ownership of systems, handling incidents and implementing post‑mortem improvements.

Required skills

• High proficiency in SQL (including window functions and time‑series aggregation).
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience with time‑series or analytical data stores such as TimescaleDB, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery or Databricks.
• Practical knowledge of infrastructure‑as‑code (e.g., Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, containers and cloud environments.
