Engine Test Cell Mechanic

About the role

A world-leading engine MRO service provider based in Zurich, with over 90 years of experience serving more than 300 customers worldwide, is looking for skilled individuals to join its Testing & Inspection teams at Zurich Airport and Bad Zurzach. As an Engine Test Cell Mechanic you will rig and de-rig engines, carry out test runs and borescope inspections, and troubleshoot on the test cell.

Key responsibilities

• Rig and de-rig Pratt & Whitney PW4000, CFM International CFM56, GTF and LEAP engines for the engine test run in accordance with the manufacturer's manuals
• Perform the final engine test run of those engines according to the manufacturer's manuals
• Carry out borescope inspection after the test run
• Troubleshoot on the test cell
• Execute orders on time and perform independent self-control
• Document activities in line with regulations
• Improve processes continuously to raise quality and reduce production costs

Required profile

• Technical background in engine test cell operations or completed vocational training in metal/mechanical fields (e.g. polymechanics, machine or automobile mechanics)
• Borescope inspection certification and at least 2 years of experience
• Ability to work independently with precision and a strong sense of responsibility
• Solid problem-solving skills and clear, effective communication
• Comfortable working in a two-shift schedule, with a flexible and reliable approach
• Team player with an open-minded, dedicated attitude
• High awareness of safety, quality and cost efficiency

Required skills

• Good command of MS Office and SAP
• English at B2 level; German is a plus
