About the role
Lead a high‑performing engineering team that builds backend services for Cisco Secure Workload, handling massive telemetry ingestion, policy rendering, and low‑latency APIs in complex, distributed environments.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for scalable backend services.
- Design and implement systems that collect and process telemetry at scale.
- Build APIs with minimal latency while handling large data volumes.
- Ensure reliability, robustness, and security of distributed deployments.
Required profile
- 8+ years of software development experience in Go, C++ or Java.
- 3+ years of technical leadership in an agile engineering environment.
- Strong foundation in algorithms, systems, databases, performance engineering and security architecture.
Required skills
- Go, C++, Java programming.
- Kubernetes, cloud APIs (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Large‑scale event processing and schema/data modeling.
- Systems programming, performance engineering, security architecture.
