Engineering Manager, Machine Learning

About the role

As an Engineering Manager for Machine Learning, you will lead multiple cross‑functional teams of up to ten engineers and data scientists, guiding the technical direction and delivery of ML‑driven product capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Enable ML and data teams to deliver high‑quality, ML‑driven features for satellite imagery and geospatial datasets.
• Grow the teams by attracting, hiring, and coaching top Data and ML talent.
• Partner with Product Managers to align technical decisions with short‑ and long‑term product goals.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering leaders on strategy, technology, and people.

Required profile

• 8+ years building ML or data‑driven systems, with at least 3 years leading ML or data teams.
• Passion for climate impact and experience in high‑growth scale‑up environments.
• Strong communication and coaching skills to support engineers and data scientists at all levels.

Required skills

• Python‑based machine learning and data workflows.
• Deep technical knowledge of machine learning, data systems, and applied ML.
• Experience with reproducibility, testing, monitoring, and production deployment of ML systems (nice to have).
