Engineering Project Manager

About the role

GXP CONSULTING Switzerland is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead complex CapEx projects in a GMP‑regulated manufacturing environment. You will own projects from concept through execution, qualification and handover, collaborating with EPCM partners, internal engineering, manufacturing, quality and validation teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects end‑to‑end, defining scope, objectives, timelines, resources and budgets.
• Coordinate EPCM partners, contractors and internal teams to ensure high‑quality, on‑time delivery.
• Act as the primary engineering interface between Engineering, Manufacturing, QA and Validation.
• Drive GMP compliance throughout the project lifecycle and manage change control processes.
• Monitor performance against scope, schedule, cost, quality and safety, providing clear reporting to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Biotechnology or related field.
• 6–8+ years of engineering project management experience, preferably in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Proven track record delivering CapEx projects ranging from 500 kCHF to 8 MCHF.
• Strong understanding of GMP requirements, commissioning, qualification and validation.
• Fluency in German and English.

Required skills

• Project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Technical project management including scope, schedule, budget, risk and stakeholder management.
