Engineering Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Specialist to join the Site‑Engineering team at Nestlé Research Konolfingen. You will support pilot‑plant operations and drive the design, implementation and hand‑over of local investment projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare high‑level feasibility studies for new process and product ideas.
• Develop detailed project plans and budget requests, coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead and execute on‑site projects safely, ensuring successful commissioning, start‑up and documented hand‑over.
• Assist technicians and operators with troubleshooting and complex root‑cause analysis.
• Improve asset intensity of pilot‑plant and production facilities through data analysis and process expertise.
• Develop sustainable solutions to support Nestlé’s net‑zero goal.
• Support the exploration, qualification and industrialisation of new technologies and products.

Required profile

• Engineering degree, preferably in process or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in process engineering; food‑industry experience is a plus.
• Strong networking and communication abilities.
• End‑to‑end project mindset with focus on clear scope and proper documentation.
• Passion for making a difference.
