Engineering Specialist

About the role

The Engineering Specialist will join the Nestlé Research and Development Center in Konolfingen, supporting pilot plant operations and the design and implementation of local investment projects. You will work closely with the Site‑Engineering team to deliver new processes, products and sustainable solutions for Nestlé worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare high‑level feasibility studies for new process and product ideas.
• Develop detailed project plans and budget requests, coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead on‑site project execution, ensuring safe commissioning, start‑up and documented handover.
• Assist technicians and operators with troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Analyse data to improve asset intensity and drive sustainable, net‑zero solutions.

Required profile

• Engineering degree, preferably in process or mechanical engineering.
• Strong networking and communication abilities.
• End‑to‑end project mindset with focus on documentation and compliance.
• Passion for making a difference and willingness to develop subject‑matter expertise.
