Evaluation Intern

About the role

The Evaluation Intern will support the Strategic, Planning, Programme Management, Evaluation and Change Service (SPECS) within OHCHR's Executive Direction and Management. The role focuses on assisting the evaluation function to embed results‑based planning, programming and budgeting across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing evaluations in the 2026‑2027 Evaluation Plan, including screening consultants, conducting desk‑review analyses, and preparing meetings.
• Draft, revise, and proofread evaluation reports, guidance documents, checklists, templates, and executive summaries.
• Support the communication, dissemination and use strategy for evaluation findings.
• Upload, review and correct evaluation data in the Decision Tracking System, Performance Monitoring System, and Evaluation Findings Explorer.
• Update repositories of evaluation reports on the OHCHR intranet, website, and UNEG website.
• Maintain the database and mailing list of evaluation consultants.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or having completed a second university degree, or in the final year of a first university degree (bachelor’s level).
• Fluency in spoken and written English; proficiency in French, Arabic or Spanish is highly desirable.
• Field of study related to evaluation or human‑rights issues is an advantage.
