Event Team Leader

About the role

The Event Team Leader will drive the end‑to‑end delivery of UEFA youth competition final tournaments. Reporting to senior management, you will oversee strategic planning, operational execution and post‑event evaluation, ensuring all activities meet UEFA standards and quality expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead assigned tournament projects from kickoff through planning, delivery and debrief, adhering to timelines, scope and service levels.
• Act as the primary liaison with the Local Organising Structure (LOS), fostering a collaborative and solution‑oriented relationship.
• Manage and monitor project budgets, coordinating with LOS and UEFA Finance to ensure financial compliance and transparency.
• Coordinate the UEFA project team across functional areas, promoting alignment and high performance.
• Standardise processes, improve continuous improvement initiatives and ensure transparent information flow to stakeholders.
• Provide regular, structured tournament reporting on progress, risks and mitigation measures to senior and top management.
• Support venue management or other tournament preparations as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 4‑6 years of experience in event operations, preferably in international sports or event management with venue involvement.
• Fluent English; relocation to Switzerland or France is expected.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
• Solid project management skills.
