About the role

The Executive Director, Clinical Data Management Regional Head – Europe will shape and execute the geographic strategy for clinical data management across Europe. Reporting to the functional area head and serving on the leadership team, this role translates global imperatives into region‑specific priorities while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the global geography strategy for multiple European countries, embedding process‑excellence and governance frameworks.
• Represent the region in GDMS Leadership Team forums, enterprise audits, and cross‑functional initiatives.
• Partner with GDMS, GCTO, and Global Clinical Development leaders to drive standardisation, digital operating models, and technology adoption.
• Oversee performance governance, financial discipline, talent planning, and succession for the region.
• Act as GDMS Site Head where required, ensuring local regulatory, business, and labor compliance.
• Manage risk, escalation, and capacity‑management processes across the region.
• Champion a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in clinical data management or related life‑science functions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute geographic strategies at a global scale.
• Strong track record of regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, and talent development.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across cross‑functional and regional teams.
• Experience driving digital transformation and standardisation of data‑management practices.
