Executive Director, Global Manufacturing Lead

About the role

Madrigal is seeking an Executive Director to lead its global manufacturing network for novel therapeutics targeting metabolic dysfunction‑associated steatohepatitis (MASH). The role oversees strategy, capacity planning and performance across external contract manufacturing organisations (CMOs) to ensure reliable, compliant supply.

Key responsibilities

• Own global manufacturing strategy, capacity outlook and performance management across external CMOs.
• Establish and run network governance routines, including KPIs, performance reviews and escalation paths to ensure predictable execution aligned with demand, inventory and launch timelines.
• Partner with Quality to maintain compliant execution, inspection readiness and resolve supply‑impacting quality events.
• Coordinate with CMC/MSAT on technology transfers, process changes and validation readiness, escalating risks to milestones.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance yield, cycle time, reliability and cost, and scale best‑practice playbooks across the network.

Required profile

• BS or higher in Engineering, Physical Science, Supply Chain or related field.
• At least 18 years of manufacturing/network leadership experience, including site and CMO governance.
• Proven track record managing capacity constraints and performance recovery in complex networks.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech GMP manufacturing and external manufacturing models preferred.
• Experience leading launch‑readiness governance and multi‑site/CMO tech‑transfer coordination.
