Finance Manager – Zurich

About the role

EMEA Recruitment is recruiting, on behalf of a confidential international organisation, a Finance Manager based in Switzerland. This is a broad, hands-on role covering accounting, reporting and controlling within a global environment, working closely with senior stakeholders and leading a small finance team. It suits an ambitious finance professional who wants to build the leadership experience needed to progress toward a Head of Finance position.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial accounting, reporting and month-end and year-end closing, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash management and financial performance analysis.
• Provide financial insight and business partnering support to senior leadership.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, advisors, banks and key stakeholders.
• Maintain robust internal controls, governance and compliance processes.
• Lead, support and develop a small finance team, and identify ways to streamline processes and improve reporting efficiency.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline; a professional accounting qualification is advantageous.
• Significant finance experience, ideally in an international business environment.
• Experience in FMCG, retail or wholesale.
• Fluent in both German and English.

Required skills

• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and/or local GAAP.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, confident engaging at senior level.
