Financial Business Partner – Controlling

About the role

Avaloq is seeking a Financial Business Partner to join its Business Controlling Team. You will act as a bridge between product development and finance, turning business data into actionable insights that support strategic decisions and drive profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyse and report monthly performance of the business area, strategic initiatives and projects.
• Drive periodic project forecasting, coordinate gap analysis and oversee gap‑closing activities.
• Host performance‑measuring meetings, including performance and business case reviews.
• Coordinate target setting and budgeting across multiple hierarchy levels.
• Review and approve commercial contracts within your area of responsibility.
• Prepare and implement materials for monthly book closing, including accruals and project completion tracking.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Business Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in controlling, preferably in the financial or IT industry.
• Strong understanding of financial and business information with the ability to translate data into decision‑making insights.
• Experience working with software development projects is a plus.
