Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic, business‑oriented Financial Controller to join our international finance team. The role goes beyond traditional control, acting as a trusted partner to operational units and delivering accurate, timely financial information for strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and perform balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor financial performance, analyse variances against budgets and forecasts, and support month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards; assist in statutory audits and coordinate with external auditors.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics and Management to provide financial analysis and practical business recommendations.
• Identify and lead process‑improvement initiatives, especially automation using advanced Excel and ERP tools.
• Develop dashboards, KPIs and reporting tools; participate in ERP implementation and continuous improvement projects.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, cost optimisation and profitability analyses for new opportunities.
• Maintain internal controls, manage operational risk and support governance enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is a plus.
• 5‑10 years of progressive experience in financial controlling or corporate finance, preferably in an international manufacturing, pharmaceutical or industrial environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Query, financial modelling, dashboard creation).
• Experience with ERP systems – Microsoft Business Central, SAP, Oracle or equivalent.
• High‑level financial analysis capability.
