Financial Services Tax & Regulatory Advisory Consultant (Geneva)

About the role

EY's Tax Services team in Geneva is looking for a consultant to join its Financial Services Tax practice. You will work with leading financial institutions such as banks, wealth managers, insurance companies and asset managers on complex domestic and international tax matters, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on a wide range of client engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Help clients interpret, implement and apply regulatory and operational tax concepts, focusing on tax transparency topics such as FATCA, QI and automatic exchange of information, and related reporting obligations
• Carry out hands-on tasks such as guiding clients through onboarding rules, reviewing client documentation, applying tax calculation rules, classifying securities and supporting tax reporting to regulators and clients, as well as managing operational tax functions and tax-related data
• Contribute to holistic solutions working with colleagues in Legal, Audit and Consulting, and with international teams across different jurisdictions
• Take part regularly in client secondments and on-site projects
• Gain international exposure, with the option to work across different countries and language regions

Required profile

• A recognized degree in law, economics, finance or a related field (federal diploma, bachelor's or master's)
• Ideally first experience in Swiss and/or international tax within a consulting firm, Big Four or financial institution
• Fluency in French and English; German and/or Italian is an advantage
• Fast learner with strong analytical and numerical skills, adaptable, flexible and collaborative

Required skills

• Knowledge of tax transparency topics such as FATCA, QI and CRS is an advantage
• Interest in pursuing external qualifications such as Swiss Certified Tax Expert, LLM or other relevant diplomas
