Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

Jaipur Robotics is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to install, configure and commission AI‑powered vision systems at customer sites across Europe. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure reliable edge AI deployments in industrial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare installation material and configure edge computers, industrial cameras, networking equipment and sensors on‑site.
• Perform wiring, cabling, mounting, testing, troubleshooting and debugging during installations.
• Support remote and on‑site commissioning, document installation steps and technical configurations.
• Coordinate with software, hardware and AI teams to resolve field issues and ensure stable cloud connectivity.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Automation, Electronics or related field.
• Experience as an IT technician, computer engineer, PLC programmer or similar technical role.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work in industrial environments.
• Residence in Switzerland or Italy with Italian fluency.

Required skills

• Linux (Ubuntu) command‑line proficiency, SSH.
• TCP/IP networking, routers, switches, VPNs and basic firewall configuration.
• PLC programming experience.
• Industrial network knowledge and CCTV/surveillance camera installation.
• CAD or technical drawing interpretation.
• Hands‑on problem‑solving attitude.
