FP&A Analyst

About the role

AbbVie is hiring an FP&A Analyst to support financial planning and analysis, actuals, demand statements (ADS) and forecasting cycles (PLAN/LRP/LBE), as well as affiliate expense management. The role covers reporting for Region South, Europe Area and Global, and requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in FP&A or commercial finance within pharma or medical devices.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate stakeholder input and upload data into financial systems, and prepare local financial reports and regional/global reporting deliverables.
• Maintain dashboards and provide real-time data, cascade business results through variance analysis and commentaries to management.
• Manage affiliate expenses: supervise budgets, forecast expenses, prepare ad-hoc journal entries and monthly reports on spending by department, IOs, GL accounts and activity level.
• Analyse variances against benchmarks, prepare commentaries and support affiliate product P&L preparation.
• Prepare reporting for monthly S&OP and ad-hoc meetings, support business cases and internal controls compliance.
• Monitor assumptions for each brand, perform ad-hoc analysis and forecasts for internal and external customers, and lead improvement projects on financial reporting, systems and processes.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in a finance-related field (Finance/Accounting).
• At least 3 years of experience in FP&A and/or commercial finance in pharma or medical devices.
• Experience in a matrix, multinational environment.
• Fluent English; strong self-starter, analytical and strategic mindset, able to handle large datasets and multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Excellent Excel (including macros), PowerPoint and familiarity with Microsoft applications.
• SAP and SAP BPC planning tool are essential; Power BI is essential.
• RPA and AI experience is a plus.
