Frontend Developer – B2B Digital Banking & App Development

About the role

LGT, the largest private banking and asset management group owned by an entrepreneurial family, is looking for a Frontend Developer to shape digital experiences for its intermediary business. You will join an interdisciplinary agile team and build intuitive, reliable and accessible applications that turn complex banking processes into seamless user journeys, working closely with a Senior Full Stack Developer, product, UI/UX, business analysis, testing and banking specialists. The position is full-time (80-100%) and based in Bendern (Liechtenstein), Zurich or Lugano.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain responsive frontend applications and digital B2B apps.
• Translate business, client and UX requirements into clear, accessible user journeys.
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate applications with APIs and banking services.
• Contribute to the digitalisation of B2B processes, including those connected to the core banking system Avaloq.
• Use AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully while safeguarding code quality and data protection.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, testing, security, performance and maintainability.
• Take part in code reviews, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of development practices.

Required profile

• Higher technical education or equivalent practical experience in software or application development.
• Practical experience in frontend and application development, with an interest in high-quality digital products.
• Conceptual and analytical skills, with a structured, solution-oriented approach.
• Fluent German and good written and spoken English; German is a plus but not required.
• A collaborative, communicative and self-driven personality who takes ownership and enjoys learning.

Required skills

• Sound understanding of modern frontend development practices, API integration, testing and accessibility.
• DevOps skills, especially CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation, are an advantage.
• Interest in AI-assisted software development and critical assessment of AI-generated results.
• Knowledge of Avaloq, Avaloq Script, Oracle SQL or banking processes is an advantage, not required.
• Experience in an agile team is an advantage.
