Frontend Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to build high‑performance, data‑dense interfaces for a mainframe‑style portfolio management platform. You will create dashboards, order books, P&L attribution screens, and real‑time analytics tools where latency, number formatting, and animation timing are critical.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement complex, data‑rich UI components such as order books, multi‑account allocation views, and real‑time portfolio analytics.
• Ensure low latency and smooth interactions comparable to institutional terminals.
• Collaborate with backend teams to optimise network usage and performance.
• Maintain visual precision, including kerning, easing curves, and focus states.
• Integrate real‑time data streams via WebSocket and Centrifugo.

Required profile

• Views frontend development as an engineering discipline, not just styling.
• Has shipped data‑dense interfaces that perform under high volume.
• Proactively monitors network performance before requesting backend changes.
• Passionate about charts, tables, and detailed visual feedback.

Required skills

• Deep experience with React and Next.js in production.
• Fluent in TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of WebSocket and Centrifugo for real‑time communication.
• Experience with performance budgeting for real‑time data.
• Familiarity with visualization libraries such as D3, TradingView, or ECharts.
• Understanding of server‑side rendering, streaming, and React Server Components (RSC).
