German Language Teacher for Children in Zumikon, Zürich

About the role

Global LT is seeking a native or near‑native German speaker to provide in‑person, customized German (DaF) lessons for a 5‑year‑old child who has recently moved to Switzerland. Lessons will take place at the student’s home in Zumikon, with a flexible schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, tailored German lessons that match the child’s beginner level.
• Design and adapt curricula focused on everyday conversation, school‑related vocabulary, and cultural integration.
• Monitor progress, provide feedback, and adjust teaching strategies to meet learning goals.
• Maintain professional communication with the family.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in written and spoken German.
• Degree or certification in language teaching, education, linguistics, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience teaching German as a foreign language.
• Proven experience working with young children.
