Global Assembly Engineer – Automation & Production

About the role

We are seeking a Global Assembly Engineer to join our Global Production Engineering Team at our Neuhausen am Rheinfall site. You will work closely with project teams, R&D, purchasing, supply chain and quality to design, install and optimise assembly and test systems for high‑volume plastic closures.

Key responsibilities

• Specify, plan and source assembly and test equipment in collaboration with global stakeholders.
• Conduct design reviews, monitor project progress and manage documentation.
• Plan, execute and document Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
• Support production sites during equipment installation, commissioning and start‑up.
• Deliver technical training for operators and maintenance personnel.
• Plan and implement maintenance and servicing activities.
• Act as Engineer in Charge, providing technical support and managing spare‑parts activities.
• Own defined KPIs and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Automation Engineering or a comparable technical qualification.
• 3–5 years of experience in automation, special‑purpose machinery or assembly systems.
• Proven experience with commissioning, FAT/SAT and technical training.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a proactive, hands‑on approach.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
• Willingness to travel internationally (≈25%).
