Global Customs Advisor

About the role

As a Global Customs Advisor based at our headquarters in Uzwil, you will be the key partner for customs clearance, compliance and process optimisation across our international matrix organisation. You will shape import and export processes, support origin determinations and advise on a wide range of foreign‑trade matters, delivering tangible business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on import/export procedures, customs clearance and origin of goods for local business units and global subsidiaries.
• Represent foreign‑trade topics in internal Group projects, drive data and IT improvements and support SAP GTS roll‑outs.
• Monitor regional and global trade developments, assess supply‑chain impact and define corrective actions.
• Conduct customs and origin checks independently, deliver training sessions and act as the central contact for authorities and trade associations.

Required profile

• Degree in business administration or a comparable qualification, preferably with a focus on foreign trade.
• Extensive knowledge of Swiss and EU customs law and solid hands‑on experience in customs and foreign trade, ideally in an international industrial environment.
• Service‑oriented, resilient personality with strong communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders worldwide.
