Global Senior Chief Accountant, Business Assurance

About the role

SGS Business Assurance is seeking a Global Senior Chief Accountant to establish and lead accounting governance across its worldwide network. The role will ensure consistency, financial governance and process harmonisation while supporting strategic initiatives such as acquisitions and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain global accounting policies, standards and governance frameworks for Business Assurance.
• Support accounting workstreams for acquisitions, due‑diligence, purchase‑price accounting and post‑acquisition integration.
• Establish standardised pricing models, cost allocation transparency and efficient billing structures.
• Partner with Finance, Tax and regional controllers to drive adoption of new accounting structures and policies.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent) with at least 10 years of progressive accounting experience in an international organisation.
• Strong technical accounting expertise in IFRS, financial reporting and accounting governance, including experience in a Big‑Four environment.
• Proven experience supporting M&A, due‑diligence and post‑integration activities.
