Global Technical Manager – Product Biology Disease Control (Fungicides)

About the role

Lead the global technical development of new active ingredients (AIs) and strategic projects, from early field testing through product launch and lifecycle management. Provide scientific and agronomic expertise, market foresight, and coordinate worldwide field trials to deliver competitive products and customer value.

Key responsibilities

• Design, communicate and implement technical development strategies across R&D and Marketing.
• Plan and coordinate harmonised field‑trial programmes, assembling cross‑functional teams to deliver data efficiently.
• Translate trial data into compelling recommendations for decision‑making and launch support.
• Lead biology activities within global MPTs, BSRTs, and AIM teams.
• Drive innovation, identify new market opportunities, and support resistance‑management strategies.
• Partner with data scientists and digital experts to enhance efficiency and insight generation.

Required profile

• PhD or MSc in agronomy with strong knowledge of agronomy, farmer practices and agricultural sciences.
• At least five years delivering development projects across multiple regions and five years of local market experience in agronomy and disease control.
• Proven experience planning, implementing and managing field trials, preferably with fungicides.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate technical results to non‑technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis and fluency in English.
